About this project
This Sidcup home had a roof that was, in the team’s words, “in need of some desperate work”. The old covering was stripped completely and the roof rebuilt from the timbers up.
New breathable felt membrane and treated battens were laid before the smooth grey Marley Ludlow Plus tiles went on. Over-fascia vents and eaves support trays give the roof proper ventilation, and a dry valley, dry hip and dry ridge system means no mortar to crack and fall out over time.
The chimney stacks were finished with new lead work and fresh flaunching. The drone photographs show the difference: worn, uneven brown tiles replaced by a crisp, uniform grey roof.
